So I had this idea for a poetry book a while back.
The book would make statements about society through poems that related to crimes and criminals. One could say that it’d be an attempt to show that criminals are just like ordinary people. You could say tha, but it doesn’t mean you’d be right. Maybe I just like the darker side of things. Maybe I don’t have a reason. I don’t know; you tell me. Anywaysss, I tend to procrastinate, so I probably would never make enough poems anyways. Oh well, here’s a poem:

The poem has extremely different ways to look at it. Also, it has another poem that goes along with it. That’s all you need to know; interpret away.

Due to pressure from a certain someone, I have decided to pick up the pace on my postmaking. Whether it’s random questions that come into my head or old poetry, I’ll be making posts now. I’ve been debating having a question of the day section each posts, maybe I’ll just do it every now and then. So there you have it, my word that I will make posts more often. Now here’s a chicken.

A kind of saying started to form in my head. It went a little like: “They say everythng happens for a reason, so when that guy in his car hits you as you’re crossing the street…while you lay bleeding on the asphalt, remember he’s having some sort of epiphany, probably.” I wasn’t trying to come up with anything, things just sort of pop into my head every now and then from my subconscious or who knows where. Anyways, if I had to make sense of the quote then…
I guess it’d be a sort of “fuck your master plan theory” to the world.
A phrase telling people that horrible things just happen and believing there’s a positive side is ignorant. I won’t go too deep into explaining a random phrase that came to me out of nowhere, I’ll leave you to do your own deciphering. Also, this probably won’t be the last you hear on the subject.

I used to be terrified of death. I was raised Catholic and even then I would question religion and wonder what it would be like to die without a God to save you. I feared the idea of being gone forever. However, religion was not a very good way to calm me when I thought about death; I was just as terrified of Heaven. I feared going to Heaven and living forever; I feared reaching the point of having done everything there was to do a million times over; I feared boredom. Now I’m older and I see that one doesn’t have to die to be trapped in normalcy.
My advice to you is to never settle. Never become satisfied and yet work as if you were trying to achieve satisfaction.
In the words of Fight Club’s narrator…
May I never be complete. May I never be content. May I never be perfect. Deliver me, Tyler, from being perfect and complete.
at least not because of the problems they face. No, the people I want to know are the ones that won’t settle for an average life, the ones who will work for more. I guess some weirdo part of me wants to be able to offer more to the people who won’t settle for what this world hands out to us.
I’m not sure how I’d do it, I just know that nothing will stop me.
I’m not even sure I know what I have to offer. Still, if you listen to me, I’ll tell you things you’ve never heard. If you stick around with me, I’ll show you places you’ve never dreamed of. I’d offer something more, something better than average, to anyone who wanted it enough to have it. I wouldn’t do it for them, I’m not a hero or even that nice. I’d do it because I’m not sure I can do it alone, but a family of people willing to take what we want and not willing to settle…well we could have the world.

If you want to save someone, start by savng yourself. If you want to influence others, start by truly knowing yourself. If you want to change the world, start by understanding it. I guess I’m just saying, really figure things out before you get all heroic :p. Maybe you’ll find saving the world just isn’t your thing, after all, every superhero needs a supervillain ;D.

I’ve had a lot on my mind lately and I’ve wanted to sort myself out before I talk about my opinions and whatnot. To make up for that, I’ve provided a comic below for your entertainment. :} (I totally claim that smilie, even though I’m pretty sure that’s not possible. Too bad, I just did.) In other news, I’ve created another tumblr account with a more journallike (is that a even a real word?) approach so that you guys may follow what I’m doing on a day-to-day basis, aka stalking. The url for that account is http://thegreatmrsmilie.tumblr.com/
